CRADLE OF FILTH Bassist Schedules FRANKFURT MUSIKMESSE Signing Sessions
March 24, 2006CRADLE OF FILTH bassist Dave Pybus will appear at 2006 Frankfurt Musikmesse, Germany as a guest of Ampeg. The signing dates are Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1, 3-4pm. Crate, Alvarez & Ampeg, Halle 4.0, Booth F50.
CRADLE OF FILTH are currently recording their as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2004's "Nymphetamine" with producer Rob Caggiano (BLEEDING THROUGH, ANTHRAX). The CD will feature guest appearances by H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo on a song called "The Byronic Man" and (Dirty) Harry on the track "Temptation". A late 2006 release via Roadrunner Records is expected.
"I'm not saying it's 'experimental,' but we're definitely testing the limits of what we can do," CRADLE frontman Dani Filth recently told Revolver magazine about the new CD. "This is our sixth or seventh record, so we're trying to spice things up to keep the marriage going!"
"We were hungry to write again," Filth added. Once we finished all our tours [in 2005], we spent the summer just writing. Nobody really throught about where it was going, which is why I think it's really fresh sounding. A lot of the songs are really rhythmical — thrashy, almost — but they're all also really catchy."
